Almost Angel
The Almost Angel series is related to my busking persona, an angel. It was part of a two-fold group exhibition, Anticipation and Fruition. Anticipation explored the process towards exhibited artworks through works-in-progress and the artists' visual diaries. Held half a year later, Fruition showcased finished works of art which were developed from ideas and preparatory works in Anticipation.

My mind fluctuates between frenzy and calm while working on my art pieces. When I begin, there are many thoughts going through my head. I am careful and conscious - where to start, what to do, what to do after that, and after that... It can be extremely mental. Then there are moments when I am not thinking; I am just doing. It becomes very physical. It can be emotional, too. I may get weepy, frustrated, ecstatic, run the whole spectrum of emotions. It is the proverbial blood, sweat and tears (plus laughter). It is indeed a labour of love. I enjoy the artistic creative process. It is exciting to see how it pans out.
